ODBORNÉ ZAMĚŘENÍ
Theory of thin walled beams and shells, including buckling. Coauthor
of several Standards (Design of steel structures – rules for shell
structures, tours, masts, chimneys, silos, tanks and pipelines).
At present he lectures theory of thin shell structures for graduate and
postgraduate students. He is more than 25 year active member of ECCS
in Brussels (European Convention for Constructional Steelwork) in the
Technical Committee for European Recommendations – Bucking of
Shells. He is a member of editorial boards of several technical journals
(f.i. Journal of Process mechanical Engineering in London). He is
designer or chef designer of several steel construction (silos, storage
tanks, pipelines, TV towers, pressure vessels).
